Poker Asia Pacific publishes poker strategy and reference material, with an emphasis on the parts of the game that can be calculated rather than argued about. The calculators run entirely in your browser using plain JavaScript. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, there is no account, and a page keeps working once it has loaded.
What we publish, and what we do not
We publish evergreen material: probability, pot odds, position, tournament structure and bankroll arithmetic. Every one of those holds up indefinitely.
We do not publish tournament news, results, schedules or prize pools. The site carried that kind of coverage in an earlier life, and it is the wrong thing to attempt without reporters in the room — results reporting is only worth anything if it is fast and verified, and stale results help nobody. Where a page touches the regional circuit, it stays at the level of structure and context, and points readers to the tours' own sites for anything current.
We also do not sell picks, run a staking scheme, take bets, or accept payment for placement.
How the numbers are checked
Every probability on this site was computed from first principles and verified before it was published, not copied from another article. Where a figure is conventional guidance rather than a mathematical result — bankroll buy-in ranges, opening-range widths, typical standard deviations — it is labelled as such in the text rather than presented as fact.
Where we are not confident in a specific claim, we leave it out. That is why the regional page contains no dates, prize pools, winners or results: those are exactly the details that get repeated wrongly across the internet, and we would rather have a shorter page than a confidently incorrect one.
Corrections
If a calculator returns something you believe is wrong, or a stated probability does not match your own working, please tell us. Corrections are made promptly and we would rather be told than not. Play responsibly
Nothing here is an inducement to gamble, and understanding the maths does not make poker a reliable source of income. Most people who play lose money over time — that is the arithmetic of rake and entry fees before anyone's skill enters into it. Play only with money you can afford to lose, set limits before you start rather than during a session, and stop if it stops being a game.
